Webinar: Dispensing solder paste using V-One

Precision solder paste dispensing

The webinar focused on V-One’s solder paste dispensing workflow. With features like aligned dispensing, selective printing, and an integrated heated bed, the V-One simplifies the often complex and messy process of applying solder paste, making PCB prototyping accessible for everyone.

Webinar highlights

Live demonstration

We kicked off with a live demonstration of V-One in action, showcasing the paste setup process, dispensing solder paste onto the PCB, and even correcting unsatisfactory results on the fly. This real-time demo highlighted the ease of using V-One’s software and the precision of the dispensing process, emphasizing its role in reducing manual errors and improving consistency in PCB assembly.

Workflow overview

The session provided a comprehensive overview of the entire solder paste dispensing workflow, including the alignment of the factory-fabricated board, dispensing the solder paste, and performing reflow on the heated bed. Voltera’s support lead, Nathan Shinkar, shared tips on achieving optimal results with V-One, such as calibrating the machine and selecting the correct print settings.

Tips and tricks

We also showcased a completed print with components populated, sharing tips and tricks on how to place the components to the right place of your own boards and cure the print on the V-One, all guided by a detailed software walkthrough.

Conclusion

As demonstrated by the webinar, the capabilities to dispense solder paste and reflow PCBs make V-One an ideal tool for PCB prototyping, whether it’s precise and repeatable dispensing of your selected paste, reworking your solder pads on the fly, or creating addons for your PCBAs.

Special thanks to everyone who joined and participated in the live chat. Your questions about solder paste selection, board alignment, and reflow processes helped make this webinar interactive and informative.
